Reauty is one of the projects I worked on during my time as a creative director with Blingy. Reauty is a beauty rating app focusing on aggregating user reviews and the science behind beauty product ingredients to help all beauty lovers find products that work for their unique skin qualities. My focus with this application was the bridge the learning curve for skincare and beauty and end the money and time-consuming trial. and error process that can come with finding beauty products that work for one’s skin.

Meet Baebee
When branding Reauty, I explored the idea of having a mascot be the face of our application. I thought about the key focus of Reauty, a beauty community. I thought about many characters, a flower, a leaf, a fox. I felt a bee was the best reflection of a community, and thus Baebee was born. Baebee acts as an AI chatbot in the application.
Project R&D
My responsibilities with product R&D for Reauty began with product ideation. My team came up with user personas and their pain points leading to our target audience including Beauty Startup Owners, Beauty Micro-Influencers, and Beauty lowers. This led us to have a clear image of unique features to develop to solve these pain points; AI-skin analysis, product & ingredient database, and authentic user reviews. Once we had our core functions of the application, I designed a logical user journey tieing all these features into one easy-to-use application.
AI-Skin Analysis
Reauty’s AI-skin analysis accurately evaluates users’ facial skin 13 beauty indicators, to then provide product recommendations and beauty tips to help heal skin concerns. This analysis provides a quick and affordable way for users to gain customized solutions without the need of visiting a dermatologist or having to learn about beauty ingredients on their own.
Product Recommendations
To differentiate Reauty reviews from other platforms that provide recommendations using reviews, we created a database with all ingredients found in beauty products ranking their safety and efficacy on certain skin types. These science-backed and real user reviews will help users make the best purchasing decisions for their unique skin concerns. Products are also tagged to show if they contain unwanted ingredients or if the brand values are ideal.
Database Powered Search
Using the database we created to analyze products, we created an interface for users to search through our database to find products that satisfy what they are looking for. Results will be catered towards their skin type and concerns. There is also an option to specify if they want vegan, organic or even fragrance-free products using our list of product and ingredient tags.
B2B & B2C Features
Beyond these key features, we were very ambitious to add B2B & B2C features. Our B2B features helped us connect Micro-influencers and beauty start-ups to partner together helping influencers find work and brand affordable promote their products. Our B2C features included gamification where the users can play an educational minigame named Reauty Salon with custom avatars. While using Reauty and playing Reauty Salon, users could earn or purchase Reauty coins allowing them to unlock stickers and custom accessories for their avatars. The coins can also be redeemed for raffle tickets to enter in gift card and beauty product giveaways. I later revisited the Reauty coin to be more reflective of Baebee and changed the currency to honey.

Blingy Baebees NFT
Inspired by the aspect of community that Baebee reflects in Reauty, we created an NFT collection. This collection, Blingy Baebees, is drawn from the urgency of the protection of bees and other pollinators who greatly impact our environment’s health. Each Baebee is dressed in traditional attire from different nationalities to reflect a global community. Applying bee's behavioral practices of coexistence, we must place our differences aside to unite in saving and protecting the planet in which we share.
